Meet our founding attorney
Leah Young
Leah Young is the founding attorney of The Cardinal Law Firm, where she represents clients in homeowners’ association (HOA) disputes, construction litigation, and a broad range of civil matters throughout the Atlanta metropolitan area and surrounding communities. Her practice is defined by a strong commitment to protecting homeowners’ rights and advancing access to stable, secure housing.
Attorney Young earned her undergraduate degree in Legal Communications from Howard University, where she built a foundation in advocacy and persuasive communication. She received her Juris Doctor from Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School, where she refined her legal skills and developed a focused interest in housing related matters. During law school, she served in the landlord-tenant clinic with the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation, assisting individuals in navigating complex housing disputes and gaining hands on experience in client advocacy.
Her practice reflects a deliberate focus on representing homeowners in complex and high stakes matters, including disputes with homeowners’ associations and claims involving negligent construction. The bulk of her legal experience includes advocating for clients facing enforcement actions, fines, and lien-related disputes, as well as representing homeowners in cases involving defective construction and contractor misconduct. She approaches each matter with a strategic mindset, whether through negotiated resolution or litigation, including both direct and derivative actions.
Known for her approachable style and thoughtful counsel, Attorney Young is dedicated to ensuring that clients feel informed, supported, and confident throughout the legal process. She is driven by a deep commitment to housing stability and the belief that access to safe and secure housing is fundamental. Through The Cardinal Law Firm, she provides strategic, client centered representation to individuals seeking to protect their homes and preserve their financial security.
